Negroes Refused Admission to Kansas City Schools
In Kansas City Kansas and Bonner Springs yesterday Negro pupils were denied entry to a white high school and a ward school. The refusals ended with quiet withdrawals and no clashes. The Kansas legislature had recently ordered school segregation in Kansas City. Bonds were approved to build a separate Negro school, but until then sessions were to run mornings for whites and afternoons for Negroes. The Negroes preferred to sit with white students and may pursue court action.

Two Trainmen Die in Burlington Fast Mail Wreck
In Council Bluffs Iowa the Burlington fast flyer No 8 from Omaha to Chicago struck a string of freight cars at the Wahash crossing.
