Gifford House Fire Claims Hotel Guests in Popular Bluff

Popular Bluff Missouri reports a three story Gifford house hotel blaze early today. Forty five guests were present with four dead and about twenty five injured or missing. Many jumped from upper floors as flames spread rapidly. Names include Heck Clark Doniphan Rebecca twens Sheil by DeTart Curley Merry all of Popular Bluff. The list of missing remains incomplete days. Also reporting Boer losses and captures in Africa with several killed or wounded.
