Train Narrowly Escapes Flood At Foss Oklahoma
Six people died in a sudden flood that overwhelmed Foss Oklahoma. A Choctaw passenger train raced toward safety as Purkey Creek and Washita River surged to ten feet. The flood struck Foss at 650 PM, sweeping away houses and forcing evacuations. Names include Mrs Butterftelt and her granddaughter, Mrs Hutchinson, Mrs Morgan and son, and an unnamed man.
