Russian Jew Arbes Averbach associate held over Shippy plot
Isadore Maron a 20 year old Russian Jew known as the curly headed boy was arrested near Lar rus Averbach's home in Chicago as police linked him to the attempted assassination of Chief Shippy. Olga Averbuch Honoiles Korimoris and Edward Berman were also held in the case. Averbach identified in city records as Lazarus Averbuch a 22 year old Russian student living with his sister Olga. He fled Kishinev and came to America three months ago. Authorities tie the plot to opposition to Shippys actions against anarchists and unemployed parades. The coroner's inquest was ordered and New York tightened anti anarchist measures after similar threats.
