Potter Is Dead. Death of Henry Codman Potter at 74
Cooperstown New York July 22 Henry Codman Potter Protestant Episcopal bishop of the diocese of New York died last night at Fern his summer home after weeks of illness. He was unconscious all day and died at 8 35 pm peaceful and quiet. He was 74. Family at bedside included wife Mrs Potter and daughters Mrs Mason C Davidge from California Miss Sarah Potter and Mrs Charles Russell and Mrs William Hyde abroad have been informed. Cause traced to embolism in the right leg following long liver and stomach trouble. The end had been foreseen by physicians after a severe relapse Monday morning.
