Three Drowned in Chicago Beach River Incident

Kenton Bark, Mick. duty 7.-A dolph Stetlick, his wife Mre. Stetlick, and Miss Stetfick of Chicago drowned about 4 p.m. They were familiar with the beach and river current and were carried under by the swift stream. The husband and wife and sister died, while a fourth member, John, who went down for the third time, grabbed a passing timber and was saved.

Shaw's Vermont Summer Visit With Family

TWO LIVES LOST IN PERE MARQUETTE WRECK IN MICHIGAN

Elk Rapids Michigan July 7 Engineer Pickett Traverse City died and Fireman Dwyer Grand Rapids injured when Pere Marquette passenger train struck their side track car near Williamabnes. The engine tender was thrown off the track and the boiler exploded sending the wheels forward three and a half miles.

Fight on Lacrosse Street Turns Violent Riot

A July 7 street riot on the north side erupted over a drinking fountain dispute. Assyrian colony members clashed with lunar railway workers and others for an hour using clubs knives and fists.
