Council weighs paying home sewer damage claims

Roblin town council reviews claims from homeowners about damages after regular flushing of sewer and water lines. One case involved a $142 sewer backup caused by a tennis ball entering via a roof vent, another about $140 in laundry damage from iron in lines after flushing. Parkland Western Steering Committee hires development officer

Rod Nasewich will assume the new development officer post in October for the Parkland Western Steering Committee. He will travel to communities to assist in economic development and business support without a permanent office, under the Parkland Western structure.
