Roblin Fire Department Responds to Two Farm Fires
The Roblin fire department was called to two farm fires last week. At Michael Robin farm south of town a hot bearing in a baler ignited a round bale as it was kicked out, causing no damage to the baler. Saturday afternoon the department responded to Dale Simpson farm west of Roblin where Bruce Davis saw yard smoke. the Simpsons were away. Chief Tom Bowley noted Davis had burned scrub nearby weeks earlier and reignited embers with the wind. the fire was quickly extinguished.
