Local residents welcomed new Deepdale settlers Mr and Mrs John Rankin and Mr and Mrs Popoff with family. The Galloping Tea Parcel Post Safe sale at Jas Ward’s home Oct 3 raised 19.90. WI meeting reported at Mrs C McKenzie Oct 16 with six members and three visitors. Donations to Roblin Cemetery Fund and Roblin Hospital. plans for Whist Drives. Next WI meeting Nov 13 at Mrs W Ward’s. Various district meetings, conventions, and relocations noted around Kamsack, Canera, and Roblin areas.
Mr and Mrs Deb Blewett and Mr P Hobb depart for Vancouver B C for the winter. Mrs Alex Allen of Winnipeg visits with Mr and Mrs Wm Beattie and others. Mrs Bert Pearson Swan River visits her parents. R McAmmond and Wm Hampson travel, Miss Rae Razansoff leaves for Powell River. Fern Jones makes official visit to Ruth Chapter Togo.

The Shortdale Farmers Union sponsors an information meeting Thursday at 8 p.m. in Gilbert School. Dr J N Smart will discuss the Bangs Vaccination Program and the agriculture representative will cover livestock feeding. Slides will cover these topics and the Thresherman's Reunion in Austin this year.
In memoriam for Debra Elizabeth Ketl who passed away October 28 1982 is remembered by Mom and Dad with a brief message. The notice mentions a loving memory and a sweet life cut short, reflecting a family tribute.
