Miss Marlene Chambers enjoys a short holiday at White Fox Saskatchewan. Mrs Marion Riley and Mrs Margaret Sorbo will again assume nursing duties at Roblin District Hospital. The hospital board thanks R F Cockerill and Sanders for a $300 donation toward the new wing. Construction progresses and the board urges further donations which are tax exempt. A list of furnishings required will be published soon.
Manitoba announces a hunting season from Monday November 24 to Thursday December 4. No hunting from sunset November 29 to sunrise December 1. A bag limit of one male deer over one year applies. License costs remain unchanged from last year.
The Roblin Curling Club will hold its annual reorganization meeting in the club rooms on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. All past and prospective members are invited to attend.

The Manitoba Federation of Agriculture and Cooperation District 2 Board met in Grandview with MFAC president J D Wilton. They unanimously approved Co op Neighbor Night as a major project for 1952 53 and planned December 2 suppers across the Dauphin Roblin area plus district programs a pavilion project at Crawford Park camp youth activities and Farm Radio Forum promotion.
Regular October 1 1952 session chaired by Mayor W Ford with all councillors present. (1) Minutes from Sept 10 1982 and annual 1953 court of revision approved. (2) Financials approved for multiple items: St Boniface Home Goose Lake School W F Birch Weststeel Products Wilson's Stationery and others totaling numerous small sums. (3) Old Age Pension for James Laurie Roblin approved. Meeting adjourned.
District No.2 credit unions gathered in Grandview Manitoba on Thursday October 16 with five unions present. T. Collwil served as chair and Mrs. H. Robertson as secretary while W. E. Phillips spoke as provincial director and J. Purday provided delegates with society business updates.
Dr J C Parker spoke on The present day challenge to Christian living to Roblin United Church women at the Autumn Thank-offering meeting of the Woman's Missionary Society. Mrs H Cross led, with organ by Mrs A T Kines. solos by Mrs L Stevenson and Mrs H Keast. A luncheon followed in the church lower hall.
Reverend G W McNeill assisted by Reverend J Anderson officiated at the marriage of his elder daughter Shirley Adelaide to Joseph Skeleton Langstaff of Carberry and formerly Newhaven England. The ceremony occurred September 27 at 1 p.m. at the bride’s parents home in Stony Mountain Manitoba.
Hugh A. Benham of Winnipeg Prairie Director of pay roll savings asserts Canada Savings Bonds are not affected by market trends. Citizens can cash bonds anytime at any bank and receive full principal plus interest to date. Last year Canada Savings Bonds sold 983,464 Canadians amounting to 391 million dollars.
The Togo Homemakers Club met October 7 at Mrs. Andrews home. They voted to buy a $5 bond from the Christmas Seal Fund and sent thanks for fruit received. A wreath for Remembrance Day was ordered and a tea helpers thanks were given. The group discussed Baby Clinics and act room planning. In power news Manitoba Power Commission reports progress on Swan River extension, pole replacements, and line conversions. The Commission distributed 28,780,400 kWh in September, up over 15 percent from 1951.
The Manitoba Power Commission announces a large rise in western Manitoba power use prompting a planned 115000 volt transmission line from the Parkdale terminal to Brandon. The monthly report outlines the project scope and regional impact.
The Fall Executive meeting of the Dauphin Presbyterial convened at Knox Church Roblin on October 10 with Mrs C Seahy leading opening worship and Mrs J C Parker presiding. Attendees hailed from Ochre River Dauphin Gilbert Plains Grandview Flin Flon Swan River Minitonas and Roblin. Plans were laid for Fall Rallies and Mrs L D McKillop shared impressions from the United Church General Council in Hamilton Ontario. Knox W M S hosted a lunch coordinated by Mrs E Fletcher and Mrs R Bogle.
