Mission Band Organized at Knox United Church
The Mission Band organized in the Knox United Church lower hall on October 8 at 4 15 p m. Thirty one children aged 6 to 8 attended. Miss Pat Lowe led a new game and introduced Mpengo of the Congo as the year’s study book. Officers elected were President Shirley Chase Vice President Shelley Newton Secretary Bobbie Cross Treasurer Sharon Gamey with Mrs H Keast at the organ. Meetings are set for the first and third Wednesdays each month at 4 15 p m.

The regular Ladies Aid gathering at Mrs. H. R. Mitchell’s home had fourteen members present. Mrs. I. L. Mitchell read the Scripture and Mrs. Martin led the lesson and prayer. Mrs. Newton reported sending sympathy and get well cards. A lunch was served by Mrs. Mitchell, and the next meeting will be at Mrs. McFadyen’s home with lunch committee Mrs. McBain and Mrs. Sangster.
