Sunday visitors included Mr. and Mrs. A. Radford and family of San Clara, Mr. and Mrs. C. Parker of Flin Flon, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. McDuffe and family of Pope, and Mr. and Mrs. P. Harlow and family of Dauphin. Edith Davis spent holidays with her parents. Baith attends The Teachers College in Winnipeg.
The proposal sets yearly raises from 1958 to 1977 on all rateable property within the local improvement area to cover the balance for principal and interest of the proposed indebtedness. The estimated sums and annual increments ensure the ViH project’s financing is met.
Visitors for the Thanksgiving weekend include Mrs. L Jolliffe Sr and family at the Jolliffe Ward home, Alan and Blake Grundy of Winnipeg, Mrs Wardell of Dropmore, Mr and Mrs Leon Jolliffe and Dr and Mrs John Ward of Portage la Prairie with children, Mrs Keith Sanders and Donnie and Judy Ward of Winnipeg, and Miss Ethel Sherson of Grandview. Other notes mention Mrs J Beerman at a WI District Board meeting in Russell on Oct 8, Leon Jolliffe visiting Neepawa, Gavin Livingston recovering at home after illness, and Mr and Mrs D Harrison with children visiting Inglis.
Local residents enjoyed holiday visits and travel over a long weekend with relatives in Togo Regina Swan River The Pas Winnipeg and Brandon. Attendees included Mr and Mrs Harvey Topham Mrs J Appel Rolland Erhardt Delbert Blewett Merv Gunness Freddie Nabe and many others visiting relatives and attending the Hi School Dance in Togo.
Mak a roff Miss Lorene Hilderman of Dauphin is spending two weeks on vacation here. Mr and Mrs W A Beattie Roberta and Douglas spent the weekend at Flin Flon returning home Monday. Sunday October 20 church service will be held at 3 00 in the afternoon. We are pleased to hear Mr Ireland is well enough to be back again. Harold Grundy of Winnipeg spent the weekend with his parents Mr and Mrs C Grundy. Rheinbold Nabe of Winnipeg and Leonard Nabe of Binscarth.
A surprise party marked Mrs. P Hanson's 80th birthday at her Roblin home on October 3. Twenty two relatives attended with out of town guests Ernie Payne family from Dauphin F Barrett family from Binscarth and Reg Ward family from Flin Flon. Gifts a bouquet and lunch followed by photos.
A Fowl Supper and Dance will be held on Friday Oct 18 at the Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Hall seven miles north and three miles east of Roblin Merridale Road Admission Supper and Dance 1.00 Dance 0.75 Supper 6 30 to 8 30 p.m. Music by Assiniboine Valley Boys Everyone welcome.
