Hon Ronald D Robertson newly appointed Manitoba Minister of Agriculture and Immigration was unanimously endorsed as Liberal- Progressive candidate for Roblin at a November 19 nominating convention. Peter Gaber proposed Robertson with second from Dr. Skinner. Jas Stewart presided. Robertson spoke briefly and thanked the convention for support.

Miss Shelling Smith R.N. from Kent England arrived in Roblin aboard the S S Ascania to join the Roblin District Hospital staff on Thursday November 13. The hospital family grows as construction advances and the board plans furnishing costs for wards. A four bed ward is roughly $102.20 and a private ward about $451.30. Donations continue with a suggestion not to delay since spaces may fill soon.
