Editor J M Thom Passes Away in Roblin

James McClacherty Thom longtime Roblin Review editor died November 28 in Roblin Hospital aged 75. Born August 31 1909 in Russell he started in printing 1928 with the Russell Banner and founded the Roblin Review in 1937. He served Knox United Church Masonic Lodge Legion and local council and was active in curling and youth sports. Funeral December 2 at Knox United Church with Masonic rites at Russell cemetery.

He guided the paper with integrity and courage while balancing duties as editor and publisher. The town extends sympathy to his family and honors his public service.
