W L held a quilting bee at Fred Framingham’s home on Friday to send a quilt and clothing parcel to the United Nations Appeal. Sympathy is extended to the Pete Bncarz family for their loss. Plans for Roblin Carol Festival Opens Dec 8
The Community Musical Group of Roblin and District prepares for its annual Carol Festival on December 8 in the High School auditorium. The event invites any group to participate as a noncompetitive celebration of Christmas carols in any language. Proceeds, half to the Roblin Band, include a new feature with adult choirs performing on stage in four part harmony. Mr Brien Staple visited his parents over the weekend.

The Roblin Women’s Institute met November 16 at the United Church with Mrs. Ted Sanders presiding. Topics included public life and sincere personal conduct, with lessons on proper introductions and a display of prepared materials. Reports covered the W L Leadership School, four workshops, a Halloween party, films on F W L C and driftwood finishing, plus a guest talk by Fred McGuinness of the Brandon Sun on practical self guidance.
