Intermountain Teachers Hold Convention At Roblin Collegiate
The elementary rural and secondary teachers of Mr. Gibsons Inspectoral district gathered Friday November 16 at Roblin Collegiate. After registration the convention opened with O Canada led by Miss B Kramer with pianist. President Ralph Ritchie welcomed the delegates and Mr Gibson delivered an address outlining several key points.

The Makaroff Women's Institute held its annual meeting on November 8 at Mrs James Arnott's home with eight members present. Roll call included Xmas gifts for mental patients. Officers chosen for the new year included President Mrs James Arnott and two vice presidents. Lunch was served by Mrs Pound and Mrs Curtis. A panel discussion titled English Expression Throughout the Grades drew teacher interest. An address on Recent Trends in Education followed a banquet and a symposium on what the School Board expects teachers to know and do.

Tummel UCW Meeting Recaps Annual 1963 Plans
The Tummel United Church Women held their annual meeting at Mrs. Mary Brook's home on Wednesday November 14 with ten members present. Devotions were led by Laura Mickelson. Minutes were read by Isabel Leflar. Eva Jory reported on the town supper. Members prepared layette items and socks for the Boys Home at Toulon. A sweater from Leslar Sr. was turned in earlier. Officers for 1963 were proposed with Mrs. M Cameron as President, Laura Mickelson as Vice President, and Isabel Leslar as Secretary Treasurer. A Christmas parcel for the Osborne Home will be packed at December's meeting at Laura Mickelson's home. The meeting closed with the Women's Creed.
