District News Highlights From Togo Community

Deepdale W I Holds Annual Meeting At Home Of Mrs Jolliffe

The Deepdale Women’s Institute met at Mrs Leon Jolliffe’s home on Wednesday November 14. Eleven members attended. Elected for the coming year were President Mrs Do McKenzie, 1st Vice President Mrs C Powell, 2nd Vice President Mrs R Henderson, and Secretary Treasurer Mrs Walter Ward. A pleasant lunch followed.

Local Residents Head South for Work and Socials

Earl Shiner Fabian Dube and George Foucher departed last week to work in Flin Flon. A shower was hosted at Mr and Mrs Alan Johnston home Friday night for Ruby Johnston bride elect of Nov 23. Guests enjoyed games and singing as Ruby received many gifts and gave brief thanks. Mrs George Poucher left for winter with parents in Prince Albert Sask.

Local Travel and Visits Include Winnipeg Holiday

Makaroff and Gordon Pound left Thursday for a week in Winnipeg. Mrs Ian Broadfoot of Neepawa is visiting Mr and Mrs James Curtis. Mr and Mrs D Lindsay and two children spent the weekend in Winnipeg. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs James Curtis on the birth of a daughter at Roblin Hospital. Mrs Albert Boyce returned home after ten days in Winnipeg. Mr and Mrs Wm Ramsay of Cardale visited Mrs Van Crecht. Edith Duffy left Saturday to attend the 4H Rally in Winnipeg.

Keast McFadyen Wedding Details and Attire
