The Roblin village council, chaired by Mayor F A Newton and with Councillor elect W Lupichuk present, rejected all tenders for water and sewer extensions and planned renegotiation with Benjamin Bros Construction for Sixth Avenue and Second Avenue North. A second meeting on November 4 authorized water and sewer installation on 2nd Ave from 1st Street to 2nd Street with the Town Engineer in charge.

Roblin Teachers Local Meeting At Tummel
The Roblin Local of the Manitoba Teachers' Society held a Halloween party and business meeting at Tummel on October 25. Three teachers were reprimanded for improper attire while prizes went to Velma Boyd and Dorothy Walker for costume judging. The debate asked if teachers can be replaced by mechanical devices. Next meeting set for Roblin Elementary on November 22.

Hospital Aid Meeting Held Tuesday November 1st
The regular Hospital Aid meeting convened at the hospital on Tuesday November 1 at 2 30 pm with president Mrs A Wilson presiding. Twenty ladies attended as minutes from October were read and approved. Members were urged to send two representatives and all district ladies are welcome. Spent 284 35 on equipment since last meeting. Sewing committee reported baby nighties and bands cut out and ready. Mrs Scott made ten new articles and repaired ninety eight. Hospital cart assigned to Mrs M Bowley and Mrs D Staple for November. Mrs Miller spoke on the Winnipeg Hospital Aid convention held in October. Meeting closed with Hospital Aid Prayer.

Funeral at Knox United Church Roblin conducted by Rev R Williams and Rev K W Burton with Sneath Funeral Service in charge. Interment Roblin District Cemetery. survivors include wife Mary two sons David and John a daughter Annie Ray Lester five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Death of Reginald John Yeo in Dauphin Manitoba
Reginald John Jack Yeo aged 55 died at home in Dauphin Manitoba on October 22 1960. Funeral services were held at St Pauls Anglican on October 25 with Rev M T Robinson officiating. Survived by widow Irene Elizabeth Dickie, son Archie, brother Arnold and three sisters. Yeo was born in Grandview, lived in Roblin, and moved to Dauphin in 1952. He was a member of Vermillion Lodge No 68 A F and A M and enjoyed sports. Eggertsons Funeral Home arranged the service and burial took place at Dauphin Riverside Cemetery.
