The October Wi meeting was at Mrs Cameron’s home with eight members and one visitor, president Mrs Angus and secretary Mrs Lowe presiding. Mrs Angus reported on the Russell district board meeting. Payne won the social draw. A trovely lunch was served. The annual meeting is set for Nov 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Mrs Wm Angus’s home. Mr and Mrs. P Gospodaryk visited with Mr and Mrs Bondura of Togo.

Winnipeg and area residents make weekend moves and events
Makaroff J C Arnott spent several days in Winnipeg. Audrey Van Crecht left Sunday for Brandon to take a home economics course for the winter. Mrs D Martel of Inglis visits Mr and Mrs A Taylor this week. Walter Martin from the Prairie Training School spoke at the Quapple church service Sunday. Miss Joan Van Drecht of Beildie spent the weekend with her mother. Peter Procter left Monday night for Winnipeg. Miss Jean Beattie of Winnipeg arrived Monday for a holiday with her parents. The PTA meeting is set for Wednesday November 16 at 8 pm at the school with parents meeting teachers in their children’s rooms, plus a film. The WI will entertain their husbands Thursday night in the hall.

Deepdale Hallowe'en Party Draws Large Deepdale Church Crowd
The Sunday School sponsored Hallowe'en event at Deepdale church on Oct 31 attracted about 25 children in costumes. They enjoyed games and contests, a lunch by teachers and parents, and sang hymns led by Mrs. Walter Ward. Each child left with apples peanuts and Halloween suckers.
