Deepdale News Roundup Includes Local Social and Events
Sunday and Saturday gatherings feature family visits, a W A concert and bazaar raising funds, a United Church board meeting in Robin, and a Deepdale W I meeting with plans for winter Whist drives. Attendees included Mrs Somers and Mrs Jackson. entertainment ranged from instrumental solos to films. Proceeds surpassed $70.00.

Mr F Limb and Mr P Hanson attended the M F U meeting at Merridale on Tuesday of last week. Mrs Hassler burned her arm and spent several days in hospital last week. Mr and Mrs V Lowe and family and Mr and Mrs Wm Lowe and family of Tummel were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr and Mrs Les Agar of Grandview. Mrs P Cameron left Sunday to attend the Leadership Course in Brandon this week.

Mr and Mrs Jas Curtis traveled to Neepawa for a sister in law’s wedding and returned on Tuesday. Mr and Mrs Chas Elliott came back from McGregor after a week away. Mrs W A Beattie returned from Winnipeg on Wednesday. Mr and Mrs John Pound left for Winnipeg to attend the Farmers Union Convention. Mr and Mrs I R Beattie Lyle and Mrs Everett Boyce motored to Winnipeg. Miss K Hohie of Yorkton spent the weekend with her parents. Mr and Mrs Mike Michaluk spent the weekend at Marshall Sask. Irene Traub had two days in Roblin Hospital for tonisils removal. A number from Makaroff attended the Church Board meeting in Togo Friday night. Mr and Mrs Alf White and three boys renewed acquaintances in town. The Young Peoples Group held a Hallowe en Party at Mrs E Bangle's home.
