District News Roundup of Visits and Travel

Mr and Mrs Dave Gawiey with Mr and Mrs Wid travel to Minot on Thursday and return Sunday. Mr and Mrs OE Yobb and FG Nabe visited homeward Sunday from a trip. R g is ers K Ransom of Fun Flow visited her parents Friday en route to Winnipeg. Mrs Jas Sharp returned Thursday after time in Kamsack hospital. Myra and Mrs Geo Duns left Thursday for Langy Prairie. Dr Hackney and family returned Sunday from holiday at Watrous and Riverhurst. Roy Slasser honeymooned in western Saskatchewan and returned Wednesday. Mona Kirton from Regina visited over the weekend. Joss Krupp visiting Regina. Mr and Mrs W Serbo and Dr and Mrs Large visited F Hampson’s home Sunday. A Remembrance Day service held in Community Hall on Sunday. WMh Service conducted by Rev J C Abs.

Local visitors share weekend in Winn ipeg and area

Dr Elizabeth Arnott of Winn ipeg spent the weekend visiting her mother Mrs John Arnott. Miss Kay Hohie of Yorkton spent Saturday at her parental home. Mr and Mrs Art Huybrecht and Rennie of Bowsman visited the home of Mr and Mrs Griff ith Sunday. Walter Proctor returned home for the winter after elevator construction work in Sask. Miss Kay Falcon of Winnipeg visited Miss Jean Beattie for a few days last week.

Weekend Visit and Farewell Notes from Silverwood

Mr and Mrs Paul LaLibertie spent the long weekend at Saskatoon visiting their son Garland. Mrs L Maguire returned from Winnipeg after three weeks visiting Metford. A surprise farewell party was held Saturday night for Mr and Mrs Willis Armistead. The Armisteads and family left for Swan River on Monday.

Deepdale residents make short trips and note Sunday turnout

Bruce Lester and Orville Lester left by car for Haney British Columbia after visiting relatives here. Mr and Mrs Ross Henderson returned from a West Coast holiday last Tuesday. Sunday School drew 27 despite heavy roads and cold. Visitors included Mr and Mrs George Charman and Kathleen and Miss W Johnson at C Ayer's. The Livingstones and R Livingstone visited McKenzies on Saturday. Larry and Pat McCorquadaie of Dauphin stayed with D Rink.

Community Hall Board Holds November Meeting at McKenzie Home

Directors of the Community Hall Board met Monday evening November 7 with seven members present. Plans were made to work on the hall when weather allows and lunch was provided by the hostess. The Deepdale Ladies Aid met November 9 at Mrs. C McKenzie’s home. Twelve Bazaar items left, three visitors attended, most items were sold after re-pricing. lunch was served by the hostess. The December meeting is scheduled for Mrs. C McIntyre’s home on Wednesday December 14.
