Two Severely Burned In Fire Near San Chan Incident
On Friday November 3 near San Chan at Joe Lizotte's home a gasoline ignition while lighting the stove caused a blaze. Lizotte and housekeeper Leona Lavallee suffered severe burns. the house burned down. Lizotte died early Saturday at Roblin hospital. Lavallee remained in guarded condition in Winnipeg hospital Friday afternoon.

Advisory Planning Commission discussed streets and parking at a Roblin meeting. A delegation from St. Vladimir’s College presented a land development plan to be studied by the Municipal Planning board. A map of Roblin is being prepared for the next meeting, with rezoning for a light industry use debated and 300 foot neighbor notices planned. A hearing on a proposed trailer court is set for Thursday at the Town Office. Parallel parking on Second Avenue North of Main Street was suggested, possibly as a one way street. The commission aims to begin long range development studies with a town survey.
