The Togo Elks Lodge No 433 hosted bingo on May 2 drawing a good crowd. Prizes included two door prizes, a $16 cash jackpot, and a transistor radio for blackout. Winners were Mrs CC Burt for electric clock Mrs oJ Festurax for $500 cash Mrs OH Guinness for the jackpot and Mrs W Kirton for the radio.

The Cromarty Happy Stitchers held their third Achievement Day in Cromarty Hall on May 7. Giles earned a trip to Wellman Lake H Camp with Coutts as alternate. Luella Mann modeled her duster at the Roblin Rally, with Coutts as alternate. Mann served as program chair. The year's report was given by secretary-treasurer-reporter Coutts. Mothers’ representative Horbay and leader remarks by Mrs. J. Coutts followed. The Dress Revue “Cotton Capers” capped the evening, with Margaret Thompson tracing cotton history and the girls modeling garments while Horbay and Thompson read commentaries. Morrison closed with critiques of the program and displays. Senior demonstration “Shining Shoes and Tender Hose” by Giles and Coutts is slated for Roblin Rally.
