Mr Bently Miller returned to Buffalo Alberta after two weeks with his parents. The Roblin Community Youth Band and Majorettes will appear on Profile Friday evening May 7 with Bandmaster Archie Beach. Local visitors included Mr and Mrs Henry Pister and Mrs Pauline Ross of Togo. Relatives from out of town attended the funeral of Mr William Styba and horse and cattle movements caused a stir in town including a calf riding in a police car.

More than 200 Manitoba WI members will gather June 1 to 3 at Mary Spechly Hall on the University of Manitoba campus for the 54th annual convention. Delegates from up to 172 rural institutes will review the year, discuss topics from teenage problems to the Manitoba Farm Bureau, and set plans for upcoming work with the theme Are You Thinking.

Local Ag Rep announces summer assistant Jim Radcliffe
Jim Radcliffe, third year economics student at the University of Manitoba, will serve as summer assistant in Roblin and nearby Ag Rep areas starting May 3. A native of Waskada, Manitoba, he has been active in beef and seed clubs and notes strong land development and land clearing in the area. A safety emblem glow moving vehicle sign has been adopted to improve farm vehicle visibility, with about five thousand signs expected on farms in 1965 to reduce highway accidents. Mathematics Taught In Local Schools This Fall
The Manitoba Teachers Society and the Department of Education announce an in service program for teachers who will handle new mathematics courses in grades 4 5 6 8 and 9 this fall. In the Intermountain School Division classes meet Saturdays in Roblin and Grandview collegiates. Roblin sessions run five hours each Saturday led by Orest Ziolkoski and Grandview sessions by Mrs. E Gibson.

Piped Oxygen At Hospital Now Ready For Emergency
Roblin District Hospital Governing Board met on April 27 with Mr W Ford presiding. Eight members attended. Hospital Aid representatives Mrs Sims Mrs Waters and Mrs Bowley. Finance committee approved 5034.49 for payment. Discussion covered auxiliary power plant and heating system to natural gas. Piped oxygen installed by Hospital Aid was ready for use. Mrs Sims attended a Winnipeg obstetrical course on Modern Trends. Next meeting moved to evening of May 25.

First 4-H Talent Night Proves Very Successful
The Roblin district 4H Clubs held their first talent night on April 30 in the Collegiate auditorium. Fourteen items showcased club talents under chair Ed Laurence CJGX Yorkton.
