Many local families spent Easter with relatives across Manitoba and Ontario including Rosgin Chick Bruce Leslar McBain Harvey Shymko and Truffyn. Visitors from Calgary Varvelle France Yorkton and Roblin joined gatherings as teachers delegates attended the Manitoba Teachers Society meeting in Winnipeg.
On Monday April 26 Evangeline Rebekah Lodge No 41 sent 16 members to Gilbert Plains for the district meeting. Eight attended the afternoon session with one visitor Irene Brown Assembly President. New district officers were elected: President Florence MacClaren Dawn of Peace Grandview, Vice President Hazel Stewart Patricia Gilbert Plains, Secretary Bernice Warner Alexander Dauphin, Treasurer Isobel Stewart Evangeline Roblin. Doris Waters was recommended as District Deputy President for 1966. The evening session featured 106 sisters, 19 from Evangeline, with Irene Brown as guest. A fraternal gathering followed lunch hosted by Patricia Lodge Gilbert Plains.
Early Tuesday morning Pete Yasinsky and companions were driving home when a lynx leapt onto a narrow road with water on both sides. The animal was struck and killed as Yasinsky, traveling about 35 mph, did not see it until impact.
On April 22 Evangeline Rebekah Lodge No. 1 hosted Sister Irene Brown Assembly President of the Rebekah Assembly of Manitoba TOOF. A pot luck supper preceded a Degree that initiated Mary Ann Niemachuk with Liz Bruce and Hazel Ford as degree captains.
Roblin members join 52 C G I T girls and leaders on a 7 am April 20 bus trip to Winnipeg for a 4000 participant rally. They tour Legislative Buildings, view Golden Mace ceremony, stay at Transcona United Church, and attend a mass rally with history plays and worship.
The Tum mel 4H Club met April 12 in the school with President Gerald Liske and Secretary Pauline Arndt. Members planned Amateur Night Public Speaking Competition and a travelling hamper fundraiser. Seeds were distributed. the local public speaking contest is set for May and the next meeting May 10.
After a full day Institute for Hospital Board members the Northwest Hospital Regional Council discussed mutual problems. John Lysak Dauphin General Hospital Administrator reported on hospital issues including raising perquisite charges and new training class for Licensed Practical Nurses. E W Hawkins QC outlined changes in Regional Councils. An afternoon Hospital Purchasing Seminar highlighted lower costs through group buying power.

Roblin Totems acknowledge Roblin and district supporters for a successful hockey season. Top twenty scorers list shows Roblin with five of the twenty, led by Roy Yaworsky with 27 goals and 19 assists. Bob Kahoot won the league scoring title with 44 goals and 68 points.
