Roblin Legion Two Day Bonspiel Sees Fifteen Rinks Compete
A two day bonspiel at Roblin Legion drew fifteen rinks on March 20 and 21, including 13 from Iseal and two from San Clara. Adem Event winner Kel ly Lachance led a podium including Gordon Dixon and Lioyd Hembdroif with Sheldon Jones fourth. Forest Products Evert Event crowned Ralph Harlow first, Earl Ward second, William Livingston third, Lawrence Leitz fourth. Ladies Auxilary Event went to Alex Smigelsky with Nick Yakim'shyn, Arnold Yeo, and Cecil Hages close behind. Earl Ward presented trophies. Drawmaster was Ralph Harlow. Ladies Auxiliar served banquets Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

Air Cadets Parade Details and Honors Given
On parade Tuesday March 16, 49 cadets four officers two instructors and 16 visitors participated. Civilian Committee members were Chairman Arnold Marshall and D P Trinder. Inspection was led by the Commanding Officer with Adjutant and Warrant Officer. former Cadet Flight Sergeant Claire Beischer of Inglis assisted. Mark Mullaire was named most improved cadet and received a lanyard and one dollar. Courses included Electronics, Hunter Safety, Navigation and Drill Instruction led by Lt Cavers and seniors. Visitors from Roblin St Lazare Wolverine and Binscorth attended. Marshall will attend Manitoba Air Cadets League in Winnipeg on Saturday March. the Tri-service Tattoo falls the same date and Marshall will attend.

Roblin Junior Girls win divisional championship in Grandview
Roblin junior girls defeated Grandview junior girls 78 to 18 in a two game total point series to capture the divisional title. Boys team also contended, losing 68 to 60 with praise for coach Boguski and effort. Curling Spiel started, three events over three days. winners to be announced next week. Badminton at Roblin against R.C.I. highlighted skill and sportsmanship with several first and second place finishes. A student council record hop raised funds and was well received.

Roblin U C Y Walkathon fundraiser for arena and hospital
On Sunday March 14 Roblin U C Y held a skate-a-thon to raise funds for the new Roblin Arena and Roblin Hospital. Thirty two skaters participated with pledges ranging from 2c to 31 dollars per hour. Father Winchar led with 53.50 per hour as the highest pledge. Total pledges about 200 dollars, with funds to be finalized by March 28.
