The tournament opened with a tense 3 3 tie at regulation and 25 minutes of overtime before Lee Fasher scored the final marker in Roblin 4 Grandview 3. Calder withdrew after a dispute over the draw, giving Roblin a bye and Grandview a win over Calder. St Lazare beat Togo 4 8 in OT, while Grandview edged St Lazare 7 5 with 8 points by Wasylyshyn and 8 from English. A record number of parents visited Roblin schools during Education Week on Thursday and Friday. Sixty two parents attended to observe regular work and discuss pupil progress with teachers, with the primary grades drawing the most visitors. Members completed projects and attended judges classes in vegetables poultry cattle and grain, traveling 75 miles to the Russell Rally and hosting a successful club fair.
