Mrs. J Hajavitch directed a Sunday concert in Roblin Theatre honoring Taras Shevchenko death anniversary. Greek Orthodox parish of Rublin and Ukrainian W.A. of Roblin sponsored. Peter Horbay chaired. Wm Lesack read Shevchenko life. Horbay read a poem. Choir and soloists performed. instrumental numbers featured. Canadian and Ukrainian national hymns closed the evening.

At the home of Mr R F Cockerill a March 17 birthday celebration honored Mrs Annie Sanders. Attendees included Rev Haley His Worship Mayor McBride Levi Fort Francis Robert Sutherland and others. The event featured Irish songs refreshments and a large supper with contributions from Bud McKeay and the Greenlanders.
