The National Red Cross kickoff on March 1 launches a $10,000,000 drive with Manitoba’s share set at $600,000 and Roblin District allotment of $1,700. Citizens are urged to contribute via Mitchell's Drug Store or by canvassers calling on residents.

Cromarty Pioneer Buried Saturday

Cromarty pioneer farmer Boulton Holmes of Carberry Plains died Thursday February 25 at Misericordia Hospital Winnipeg. He was born 1856 in Owen Sound Ontario and lived in Cartwright Dublin and Carberry before settling locally. He leaves a daughter Mrs H R Richard and a son Dan in British Columbia. Funeral Saturday afternoon with Rev LD Conly officiating. Pallbearers listed. Pte Ralph Brydon visited home Saturday.
