Work Seekers Warned On Gillam Hydro Project

Men seeking work at the Kettle Rapids hydro project were told to report to the Canada Manpower Centre before going to Gillam. No housing is available there except for workers referred by the Manpower Centre. The project will hire about 2,500 people over five years.

Gerald Collins will receive a PhD in chemistry at the University of Alberta spring convocation after completing his thesis on Ionization Studies With High Energy Protons in 1986. The Roblin Horticultural Society held its May meeting in the Intermediate School with fifteen members present. President Mr. Nowosad chaired. a two minute silence honored the late Mrs. Geo Kelso. judges for the Horticultural Show were chosen. plans include buying Dr Skinner’s book Horticultural Horizon and distributing lily bulbs. a peony topic and June venue at the Intermediate School were announced.
