The author reflects that Christianity begins with misfits and the marginalized, noting Jesus came to shepherds and refugees, making God approachable as a baby. He cites Mary and Joseph’s humble status, Herod’s era, and the spread of Christianity after two millennia, asserting Jesus loves misfits and sinners first.
