Restricted Areas tuberculosis control boosts cattle testing reach
The Restricted Areas system for tuberculosis control proves efficient and valued by stockmen. Cattle in areas can be tested quickly and economically, reactors shipped with higher returns, and all herds tested to aid breeding programs. A ready market favors TB free cattle, reducing travel costs. In fiscal year 117,742 cattle were tested for the first time in new areas and about 391,497 cattle were retested in established areas.
