A Tuesday Jan 17 8 30 pm congregation meeting invites all interested in United Church work. At Roblin Manse on Jan 10 Helen Decker of Calder Sask wed Russell M L Wark of Roblin by Rev D S Kern. The Roblin District Red Cross meets Jan 28 at 3 pm in basement Union Church to encourage full attendance. A birthday party Jan 6 at the Scrimshaw home featured games dancing and lunch with many friends in attendance.

Grace Collins of Empress Alberta holidaying with her parents here. Margaret Fsinger of Zorra is visiting her parents. A group gathered at Mr. and Mrs. J. Grieves Friday night for dancing and cards. Mr. Dick Kites provided entertainment during lunch. The January I. meeting occurred at Mrs. C Chapman’s home with a discussion on running a home under stress led by Mrs. Simpson and Agnes Tucker.

Mrs L Chsholm left for Winnipeg on business Wednesday. L C Wells was a visitor in Winnipeg recently. Ronald Chase is in Dauphin Hospital for medical treatment. A district inspector attended on official business Wednesday. Several locals have been suffering with the flu of late. L A Chase and H Jaasund drove to Dauphin to visit David Chase in hospital. J H Poyser of M Kidale was in the district Monday selecting subscriptions for a poetry book to be published early this year. Messrs J Bradley and A Clive attended Orange Lodge at Roblin last Wednesday. Mr Bradley was appointed a delegate to the County Convention at Dauphin on the 26th.

A concert and one act play were held last Friday evening in Addfelon Hall under Ladies auspices. The programme included McNeill orchestra selections Pano Duet-irs Boyce and Mona Yeo Recitation Freddie Gleiser Solo Miss B Warkentin Reading Mrs Statham and a stage play featuring Helen in charge Marvy Arnott Roy Saunders Vatha Statham Mrs Flyenn Andy Brown Fred Westwood Miss Herkes and others. Both concert and play were well enjoyed and thanks were extended to all participants.
