Roisin Gonspier opening delayed for full rink turnout

The official opening of the Roisin Gonspier was postponed to Monday evening to allow all participating rinks to attend. The event featured early action by JL Mitchel and Len redtders of Showflake, with local teams preparing for forthcoming games amid changing weather and upcoming Ladies Spiel.

The Roblin bonspiel opened with 72 rinks aiming for top honors in ideal weather. Local clubs Crandview Russell and Makaroff led early entries alongside strong squads from Leifer Westwood and Roblin regulars. Isabel Rogers visited sister Lucille at Kenville. Mrs Durda and two boys left M Mehalik for Grand Prairie. Roblin men’s rings joined a friendly game last Thursday.

Bowley Publisher Of Roblin Papers Dead In Roblin

BO Herbert J Bowley founder of the Roblin Review in 1912 died at his Roblin home after a long illness. He lifelong worked with weekly papers including the Binscarth Express and the Rossburn Review. Funeral services set for Knox United Church Roblin Monday at 2 30 PM.
