Outside Rinks Take Majority of Prizes at Roblin Spiel
Roblin's 33rd annual spiel ended Saturday night with large crowds watching six finals. Balkwill of Gilbert Plains captured the grand aggregate after a three way tie. Jack Goodbun of Roblin won the Hard Luck prize. Special thanks go to Geo Kelso and T McQuill for the draw. The event featured teams from Grandview Hamp son Togo McKay Inglis Haines Roblin.

Makaroff Garden Club led by Mrs G Van Drecht and 4H members earned second place in Manitoba’s 4H Garden Club competition. Bur walde Garden Club near Morden topped the event, sending two members to Toronto Royal Fair for top honors. The Makaroff club earned its place through broad activities and strong gardening, with achievements at Achievement Day and participation in Dauphin Horticultural Show.
