Ladies Aid Notes of Knox United Church Bazaar Plans
The Ladies Aid of Knox United Church met at Mrs Parker's home on February 6 with 12 members present. A bazaar committee was elected and will begin gathering articles immediately. The devotional closed with a prayer for the King and Queen, praising his courage and leadership, and wishing comfort for the Queen, his widow, and family. The next gathering will be at Mrs McBain's house.

The Oblin Ladies Curling Club entertained visiting curlers with a banquet at the United Church basement on Tuesday February 5. Honored guests were Dr Carlyle Parker and Mayor and Mrs W Ford. A piano solo Adele Maslove a vocal solo Mar lene Moore and a reading by Mrs G Palmer complemented a programme plus a darkie quartet novelty. Orlyn Andres was pianist and the W I were praised for the fine event.
