At the sixth annual Manitoba co operative credit unions meeting president Tacmpsen of Winnipeg warned that if unions and leagues fail to demonstrate capability and raise power, government control will expand. Delegates urged member participation to keep democracy, criticized centralization, and discussed a new league name, building plans, and membership implications for future agro and labor groups.

Tummel Community Ladies held their January meeting at the home of Mrs. G Buick on Thursday January 28. Sixteen ladies attended and program planning for June was distributed. Mrs. R Buick was elected secretary replacing Mrs G McArthur who teaches this term. Mr Arnett was tasked to edit a juke and cartoon book for the welfare committee. Mrs D Friesen to the pattern iib 4 and a committee of Mrs Lowe Mrs Kenneth and Mrs Inglis will explore sponsoring a concert.
