District notes show M I and Mrs G Laird visiting Kamsack last week while Mrs D Black and Barbara head to Winnipeg this week. Helen stays with her aunt and uncle Mr and Mrs M Clarke. The December W I meeting at Mrs H Gottleib’s home had good attendance. Mrs J Ed wards reported on the Provincial Convention as gifts were exchanged. Next meeting to be arranged later.
Nat Lowe finds city work while Bill Sanders returns to Winnipeg after a family visit. Shell River Women’s Institute thanks helpers for bazaar. Local visitors include Mr. and Mrs Geo Andres of MacNutt and Mr. and Mrs. C Andres. Wagons of travel and family occasions span Grandview to Aerdenhout Holland.
Jack Davis visits Bob Johnson. Dick Towes drives cattle to Winnipeg. Stan Moore and Mrs. Moore visit Dauphin and stay with Mrs. Gregor. Christmas tree concert set for December 21. School closes December 22. Albert Johnson and Leonard Towe visit Mrs. Towes in Togo. Bert Dixon visits Grand Narrows. Adam Gregor travels to Winnipeg and back with his bride. Gregor wedding held in Winnipeg December 6.
Grand Narrows couple O Wilson drove to Bowsman Thursday. Ray Murray Herb Murray and Karl Dixon left for Winnipeg Sunday. Junior Seed Growers met at Bill Helerwich’s home Tuesday. Jack and Bonnie Radford plan cordwood cutting north this week. McMurrays home after Roblin visit. Framingham and Linderbeck taking lumber logs at Ballard’s mill. Chas Simpson will attend T Dixon’s Christmas service at O Wilson’s next Sunday.
A Cromarty Women’s Institute event features a home cooking sale in the United Church basement on December 16. The December meeting is set for Tuesday December 21 at 8 p.m. in the United Church basement.
An auction of Metro Antosh farm land and assets is set for Friday December 15 at 12 p.m. The sale site lies one mile east and one mile south, two miles east of the Shell Valley store. Auctioneer R Bogle will conduct the event.
