Education minister George Johnson announced an agreement with the Manitoba Teachers' Society to integrate the Teachers' Retirement Allowance Fund with the Canada Pension Plan. Employees contribute 1.6 to CPP and 4.4 to TRAF on up to 5 000 dollars, 6 percent on amounts above 5 000. Retirement benefits combine CPP payments with TRAF benefits, 1.4 percent per year of service after 1966 up to 5 000, and 2 percent for service before 1966 and excess salary. Maximum 70 percent of average last ten years. Districts stop the 60-dollar per teacher TRF payment and contribute to CPP at the same rate as other employers.
Mr George Poitras was released from Roblin hospital last Thursday. Clifford Larocque Dave Rondeau and H Dale of Flin Flon left for home November 17 after a week hunting deer in the Duck Mountain. Daniel Joseph infant son of Mr and Mrs Gabriel Larocque was baptised Tuesday at St Claire Roman Catholic Church Rev H Dansereau officiated God parents were Mr and Mrs Lional Bouvier. After the C W L meeting on Sunday a birthday party was held for Mrs Frank Lilley with gifts given.
Mr and Mrs Roy Mickelson and family of Yorkton visited the Grant Buick home on Sunday. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs William Arnott who celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Sunday Nov 28. Gary McCrea and Brian Mitchell of Winnipeg were home for the weekend. The 4 H card party and bingo on Friday night was a success. Prizes went to Mrs J C Brook ladies high and Mrs Grant Buick ladies low Mrs C McArthur mens high and Orval Kendrick mens low.
Funeral services were held at Tummel United Church for Janet Mary Jessie Mitchell who died in Portage la Prairie Manitoba on Friday November 19 1965 after a short illness aged 65 Rev E Dixon officiated and Mc Bain's Funeral Home assisted Interment was in Deer Park Cemetery Pallbearers were her nephews John Mitchell Jack Mitchell George Hunter Dave Hunter John Hunter and Wm Leslar She was born in Roblin lived in Tummel district then Roblin and Portage la Prairie She is survived by a brother David Mitchell of Winnipeg and a sister Mrs Greig Madge McKoy of Burnaby BC.
Relatives gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm Arnott on Sunday November 28 to celebrate their fifty fifth wedding anniversary on November 29 in Roblin.
Miss Betty Linn Hiebert and Mr Gerald Sanders wed in Roblin United Church on Friday November 12 1965 with Rev E Dixon officiating. The bride wore a white nylon lace gown with pearl trim and a rhinestone tiara. Attendants included maid of honor Stella Hiebert and bridesmaids Rachel Short Edith Hiebert. The groom and best men wore floral boutonnieres, reception at the Ivanoe restaurant and dance at San Chara Legion hall.

Attendance spanned several communities and included a noon luncheon. 62 registered. Allocation for 1966 set at 46,096, up 168.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cross and Bob motored to Winnipeg Tuesday for medical attention. Brian Staple of Winnipeg visited his parents over the Nov 11 weekend. H. M. Oliphant of Dauphin attended a Band Concert and visited the Oliphant home. The group also joined Massey Ferguson events in Winnipeg on Nov 19. Family visits unfolded among the Staple and Roscoe households in Brandon and Dauphin.
Norman James, 18 miles east of Roblin, runs a large automated hog operation processing 350 to 400 hogs per feeding period. He uses a chain manure cleaner with a horse motor, stores waste underground, and transports liquid manure by grain auger to a 500 gallon tank. Feeding is timed by a Mix-Mill and automatic clock, with regular herd health visits from Dr. John Troost.
