Goose Lake water level threatens town water plans
Goose Lake water levels raise concerns as town considers a by law to ban using the lake as a water source. Vandals damage Kamsack area canola harvest
Roblin couple Sam and Mrs Kozak report their field near Kamsack damaged during harvest. A cultivator shovel struck the canola as Ron Kozak began cutting, with branches and barbed wire found in swaths. 16 cattle skulls were later found in the stubble. RCMP are investigating the incidents.

Fire Destroys San Clara Area Home Early Saturday
An early morning house fire in the San Clara area destroyed the Radford family home leaving them homeless. Firefighters arrived at 12 45 a m with the roof collapsed and only remnants remaining. RCMP and emergency crews remained at the scene for nearly three hours amid concerns about the children. The cause remains under investigation.

Intermountain School opens Aug 30 with new teachers
Intermountain School Division welcomes about seventeen new teachers as students return on Wednesday August 30. About 40 to 45 division students will study vocational courses at the DRCSS in Dauphin, and two bus routes are cut north of Gilbert Plains and south of Grandview. An inservice for bus drivers is set for Monday August 28 at Goose Lake High Roblin led by Vicky Yakimishin. Goose Lake High roof repairs are funded by Master Roofing Winnipeg and should finish within five weeks.
