Cromarty 4-H Beef Club Meeting Held April 7th
Cromarty 4-H Beef members met at the home of Reg and Mrs Framingham on Saturday April 7. They completed rope halters and held a demonstration on showmanship with a discussion on judging. The meeting ended with a delicious lunch served by the hostess.

Horticultural Meeting in Roblin Sessions Held April 14
The Roblin Horticultural Society met Monday April 14 in the Shell River Municipal office with thirteen members present. Roll call touched on starting indoor plants. program plans for 1962 were distributed and typed by Mrs Bugera. Members bought Prairie Garden copies. extra copies available from the secretary at a nominal cost. The annual Horticultural Show is set for August 17. Next meeting is May 25 in the evening. location to be announced. Mr Geo Kelso will show slides from their Caribbean trip.

Rebekah Lodge Meeting Showcased Officers Tableau
Evangeline Rebekah Lodge No. 41 held Thursday April 12 1962 with Past Noble Grands filling officer roles in pastel gowns and a tableau of order emblems. District Deputy President Alice Thom read her commission Edith Rhinnas introduced her. Gifts were given to Doris Waters Essie Cross and Muriel Scott for Memorial Ceremony work in Winnipeg. Attendees included guests from Dawn of Peace Lodge 60 Grandview Man and Patricia Lodge 46 Gilbert Plains. A skit titled Dr Quack's Wonder Machine preceded lunch and social hour.

St Vlad’s Student Wins Trip To Stanley Cup Final
Bobby Kuspira of Yorkton, son of Mr and Mrs Mike Kuspira, won a trip to Toronto to watch the first two Stanley Cup Final games at Maple Leaf Gardens after selling the most tickets in St. Vladimir’s College Roblin fundraiser. The school draw offers an $8,500 yacht as a prize and will be drawn around July 1.

About 292 students from 32 high schools attended Brandon College's second PreCollege Clinic and Seminar held on Friday March 30. Attendees from Roblin Collegiate included Richard Smith and others. Students tested academic skills, learned course options, and discovered scholarships bursaries and loan funds. Brandon College faculty will review scores with students and parents to interpret results.
