A three thousand strong crowd enjoyed a Slater park picnic with baseball games at 1:30 and a 5:30 supper. Roanoke beat Land 9 to 1 in the first game while Browns Corners Odd Fellows won the second. Prizes went to multiple lodges and individuals. Homer Sanders praised for organizing.
