County Asked to Buy Bridge Near Roanoke Rapids
In Halifax county a large Roanoke Rapids business delegation urged the county board to take over and open the bridge over Roanoke River. A three member committee was appointed to meet Northampton County and the Roanoke Rapids Bridge Company to negotiate shares and prices.
