William L. Davey of Windsor will become the Herald's city editor on Monday September 3. He previously led the Bertie Ledger-Advance since 1946 after Navy service in the Mediterranean and Europe. Davey is UNC journalism graduate and is married to Ann Seeley with daughter Amanda. They will move to Roanoke Rapids once housing is arranged.
