Miss Mary Washburn led events at Aurelian Springs Calvary Dawsons Darlington Glenview Hobgood Halifax Hollister South Rosemary Halifax Roanoke Rapids Print Training School with 2256 attendees. Dawsons drew the single highest turnout 190 on Friday night and Glenview 178 next. five schools paid in full. Junior Citizenship Clubs formed at several schools, with Dawsons hosting the largest club. A Glenview gathering Sept 25 featured games a children’s play and a talk by Mr. D. S. Moss.

The Presbyterian church received two generous gifts from prominent citizens. A receipted bill for the manse purchase was sent by Roanoke Mills Co. and covered about twenty four hundred dollars. An Ideal Heating System costing nineteen hundred dollars was donated by Mr. C.A. Wyche.
