A Halifax County court appointed commissioner will sell a 51 acre parcel in Weldon Township on May 26, 1941, at 12 noon at Roanoke Rapids Post Office for cash. The land is bounded by Tilghman Road, Pierce lands, J. H. Howard property, and Umphries land, with a 10 percent deposit required and sale subject to court confirmation. The sale follows an April 21 1941 order in the Edmondson heirs suit.
In Halifax County the Superior Court appoints Wade H. Dickens as Commissioner to sell at public auction on May 27, 1941. The property is a forty three acre homeplace in Faucetts Township described in Halifax Public Registry Book 402 page 417.
