The Board of Deacons finance committee and trustees at Rosemary Baptist Church burned a note of 3199.44 last Sunday. Roanoke Rapids Paving Project Sent for WPA Approval
State WPA officials approved a Roanoke Rapids street paving plan to be sent to Washington for federal endorsement. The 2.65 mile project, budgeted at 64750 dollars, includes curb work storm sewers and 8400 feet of curb and gutter with Roanoke Avenue widening from 12th Street to the junction. Engineer H B Christie notes 60 workers would build the bituminous surface over 18 months.
