North Carolina Wave Recruiter to Visit Roanoke Rapids
Sally McPhail North Carolina recruiting specialist for the WAVES will arrive in Roanoke Rapids Thursday for a three day mission. She will base at the Navy Recruiting Sub Station in the Post Office and interview applicants as efforts focus on enlisting women to fill WAVES billets aboard the battleship North Carolina. McPhail trained at Hunter College and has served in recruiting for five months. Also, Mrs. D R Lockler of Sneads Fla visits her daughter Mrs Alex Thomas for a few days.
