Hold Three In Mill Cloth Theft Here
Bill Scott, Lawrence Haley and Eulas Branch, all colored, were arrested in Emporia Virginia Friday charged with theft of cloth from Rosemary Manufacturing Co. Indictment sworn by Reginald Harris, Rosemary Mfg. Co. Haley and Branch pled guilty before Mayor Jenkins, now in Halifax jail on $200 bonds each. Scott held on $100 bond after probable guilt finding.

Not Guilty and Paroled in Local Car Theft Case
Earnest Wood of Roanoke Rapids was found not guilty in Richmond Federal Court on a car theft charge. Grady Lester and Parrish received three years probation after being charged with stealing a car in Roanoke Rapids and driving it into Virginia.

T Page of Fairmont driving a trailer loaded with chickens failed to stop for a school bus near Conway. The trailer swayed into the bus and Page sped away losing some birds before returning to be arrested on a hit-run charge in Jackson.
