District ODT To Handle Applications For New Commercial Vehicles
District Office of Defense Transportation will take over filing of new vehicle equipment applications starting July 1 from the ICC Bureau of Motor Carriers. Raleigh Office District Manager Harvey Roseman said field work will be done by the Highway Transport Department and that ICC procedures will continue locally. The transfer aims to cut costs and speed processing due to more field offices, with strict standards for civilian use eligibility and buses excluded from allocations. Raleigh district covers Alamance to Pasquotank counties.
